Ghilie — Hidden in Plain Sight

In Ghillie, camouflage loses its original purpose. The series was created with AI, using photography-like images to stage two figures in ghillie suits within ordinary everyday environments: homes, supermarkets, laundrettes, waiting rooms, suburban streets, and home-improvement stores.

What was designed to disappear in nature becomes strangely visible in domestic and consumer spaces. The figures shop, eat, wait, clean, drive, and watch television — familiar gestures made uncanny by their covered, creature-like appearance.

By using AI, the series plays with the artificiality of both camouflage and image-making. Ghillie reflects on invisibility, adaptation, and the desire to belong, showing figures who are hidden and exposed at the same time: present, yet out of place.
